Packaging & Shipping

Our desserts are made by hand and baked to order.

Our cupcakes are frozen and shipped in insulated containers with dry ice. All orders are sent via FedEx Ground, FedEx Priority Overnight, FedEx Standard Overnight and FedEx 2 Day Air* anywhere in the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship to Alaska and Hawaii at this time. FedEx Ground is only available to select zip codes that deliver within 48 hours from Chicago. Overnight Saturday Air delivery is available for an additional charge . Orders shipped 2nd day to select zip codes may arrive within one day. Rates are based on the shipment weight and distance from New York City to the destination. Please note delivery dates when choosing delivery method. We do not ship same day. Daily order cutoff time is 2PM EST for orders scheduled to go out the next day. We cannot be held responsible for orders delayed by events or incidents beyond our or our carrier’s control including severe weather conditions and incorrect addresses. Please be sure the shipping address is correct including apartment, floor and unit numbers before completing your order. Corrections to the shipping address received after the order is in transit will result in delays. We do not ship to P.O. (Post Office) Boxes, APO or FPO addresses. When shipping to colleges campuses, please include the street address and the students name and box number. Please see our shipping schedule for additional delivery information.

FEDEX SHIPPING SCHEDULE

Priority Overnight: overnight, morning delivery. Delivers by 10:30 AM (in most areas) to Commercial and Residential addresses.

Overnight Saturday: overnight delivery, and delivers by noon (in most areas). FedEx has an additional charge for Saturday air deliveries.

Standard Overnight: overnight, afternoon delivery. Delivers by 3:30 PM or 4:30 PM to Commercial addresses; delivers by 7:00 PM (sometimes even later) to Residential addresses.

Second Day Air: delivers by the end of the 2nd business day. Delivers by 5:00 PM to Commercial addresses; delivers by 7:00 PM (sometimes even later) to Residential addresses.

Second Day Air Saturday: delivers by the end of the day Saturday. FedEx has an additional charge for Saturday air deliveries.

Ground: delivers by 5:00 PM to Commercial addresses. Delivers between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM (sometimes even later) to Residential addresses.

Defrosting & Serving

Defrosting and serving your Crumbs cupcakes is easy.

Since we do not use preservatives in our baked goods, our desserts are always best when served sooner rather than later and at room temperature. Our cupcakes are delivered frozen in attractive, specially designed packaging. We recommend overnight delivery of our cupcakes to ensure their freshness. Please remove our striped box from the shipping container.

Do not refrigerate cupcakes.

If not serving immediately, cupcakes can be placed in the freezer in an airtight container for up to one week. Please allow 3-4 hours to defrost before serving.

Please remove flags from the cupcakes before serving.

The Crumbs cupcake flags are for decoration only and are not edible.

Kosher Certification & Food Allergies

Kosher Certification

All of our baked goods are certified Kosher. Our baked goods are certified Kosher under the supervision of Orthodox Kashrut Services in New York and U.S. Kosher Supervision in California. Our products are Kosher for year-round use, excluding Passover.

These Kosher marks are regarded as being in the top tier of strictness and guarantees that proper supervision has been given to the production of our baked goods.

Food Allergies

All of our baked goods are made in the same bakery. Though nuts are not a part of every recipe, trace amounts of nuts or nut oils can be in any of our desserts. We recommend those with nut allergies refrain from eating our products. We use eggs, butter, cream and flour in our baked goods and currently do not have any gluten or sugar free products.

Order Information

Which payment methods does Crumbs.com accept? We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Crumbs Gift Cards. Credit card account will be charged when order is placed.

When do I need to place my order? Our daily cutoff time is 2PM EST for those orders to be shipped the next day. We offer a shipping calendar that allow you to chose your delivery date within a three week window. We currently ship with FedEx and offer Priority Overnight, Standard Overnight, Second Day Air, and Ground (available to locations that deliver within 48 hours). Saturday delivery options are available in most areas. FedEx does not operate on Sunday.

Can I place my order over the phone? Yes! Please call us at 1-877-CRUMBS-0 (1-877-278-6270) to place your order over the phone. Our office business hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. If you receive our voice mail, please leave a message and we will respond as soon as possible. Please keep in mind that our 2PM EST cutoff time for orders to be shipped the next day.

Is there any way to have something ship out today? We bake to order and cannot ship same day. Our order cutoff time is 2PM EST and all orders scheduled to go out the next day are processed and baked overnight.

Can I add/edit my gift message? Absolutely! Simply email us (info@crumbs.com) or call us (1-877-CRUMBS-0/1-877-278-6270) with the gift message you would like to include with your shipment. Please keep in mind, the message must be edited during business hours the day before shipment. We, unfortunately, are not able to edit orders on the morning of shipment.

How do I send cupcakes to a college address? College students love getting Crumbs care packages! To ensure delivery goes smoothly, please enter College name and any additional information (dorm name, box number) under company name. Enter college street address under address. **If sending for Saturday delivery, please confirm that campus mailroom will be open.

How do I care for my Crumbs order? All of our baked goods are made by hand and baked to order. Since we do not use preservatives in our baked goods, our desserts are always best when served sooner rather than later and at room temperature. If cupcakes will not be served immediately, they may be placed in the freezer in an air tight container for up to one week. Do not refrigerate. Please allow 3 - 4 hours for our cupcakes to defrost before serving. Muffins and scones will keep in the tins they arrive in for 1- 2 days. If not serving immediately, they may be placed in the freezer in an airtight container for up to one week. Cookies and Brownies are individually wrapped and will keep in the tins they arrive in for 2-3 days.

Can those with nut allergies or other food allergies eat Crumbs cupcakes? All of our baked goods are made in the same bakery. Does Crumbs have Parve cupcakes? Parve cupcakes are available by special order in our NYC area stores. Orders must be placed 48 hours in advance. Please contact one of our store locations or our catering department.

Do you accept special orders? All stores are able to accept special orders. Please contact your nearest store location. We do accept some special orders for shipment. Please contact us at 1-877-CRUMBS-0 to discuss your special order needs.

Can I have my order delivered on a Monday? Unfortunately, a Monday delivery date is not possible. Our packaging is designed to last two days in transit and are not able to ship Friday for Monday delivery. We suggest choosing a Friday or Saturday delivery date.

Having Trouble ordering online? Occasionally, customers have trouble placing their order or receive an error message. If an error message does occur, please double check your billing information. Please feel free to call us at 1-877-CRUMBS-0 (1-877-278-6270) to place your order over the phone.

Shipping Information

How and when will my order be delivered? Our orders are shipped by FedEx Ground, Priority Overnight, Standard Overnight or 2nd Day Air. We ship our cupcakes frozen packaged in insulated containers with dry ice. Please see our shipping schedule for additional information.

Does Crumbs have local delivery from their stores? Yes. For local delivery within New York City and Los Angeles contact a Crumbs Bake Shop near you.

Do you include a receipt or prices with the shipments? All orders are shipped with a pack list which includes billing name and address, shipping name and address, and products order. Since so many of the packages we send are gifts, we do not include prices on our pack lists.

How do you ship your cupcakes? We ship our cupcakes frozen with dry ice and in specially designed packaging to keep them safe along their journey. Crumbs cupcakes should be frozen, cold, or cool when received. Please allow the cupcakes to sit at room temperature for 3 – 4 hours before serving.

Do you have special birthday/holiday gift boxes? Our cupcakes are shipped in our attractive Crumbs gift boxes which are deep red and cinnamon colored and fit many themes! We do not offer special holiday or birthday gift boxes at this time. We recommend adding a Custom Gift Message when you place your order to offer your special wishes.

Does Crumbs provide baked goods for special or corporate events? Our Catering Division will be happy to assist you with your event. Please contact catering@crumbs.com or call (212)355-7800 in New York or cateringla@crumbs.com or call (323)466-2200 x1 in Los Angeles for assistance.

Does Crumbs accept donation requests? Crumbs Bakes Shop recognizes the importance of giving back to our communities. Due to the number of donation requests we receive on a daily basis, we are currently reviewing our philanthropy efforts. At this time, we feel as a company that we will have a larger impact by dedicating our efforts to several causes to be named in the very near future.

Cupcake Care

How do I defrost the cupcakes? Our cupcakes will arrive frozen, cold or cool to the touch. Simply allow the cupcakes to sit out on the table or counter at room temperature for 3-4 hours before serving.

How can I keep the cupcakes if I’m not serving immediately? We recommend placing the cupcakes in an air tight container and freezing for up to one week. Follow the above defrosting instructions.
